While working as a Private Investigator, I was in a horrible car accident that left me with an injured back and disabled from working surveillance. With a new research position working from home, I was looking for something to supplement my loss in wages and just by chance, Apriori Beauty came into the picture. It was around that time I attended a local Beauty Bar, where I was introduced to Apriori Beauty’s products and had the opportunity to experience them. I started off slow with ordering the ViViD Hair Therapy Shampoo, Conditioner, and Treatment Oil and was soon purchasing the Celloxylin® Cellular Age Advantage skincare line. I was in love and amazed at how they made my skin visibly smoother and hydrated. Since I’m one who usually raves about things I use and love, I thought ‘why not make it a business of sharing my new favorite beauty products?’

Becoming an Apriori Beauty Independent Consultant seemed like a great opportunity to make up for my loss in wages and it has been just that. Since I work from home, it can be difficult to find potential Clients to share these wonderful products with. Both social media and Beauty Bars have been my saving grace in growing my business. I utilize my personal Facebook page to grow my business by posting Apriori Beauty’s sales and specials, as well as small blurbs focused on beauty tips and ingredient highlights. Apriori Beauty makes it easy for me to share because every day, they post something new and interesting on the Company Facebook page. I don’t even have to create the content myself. Instead, all I do is share Apriori Beauty’s Facebook posts onto my own page and include my website address so my Facebook friends know where to go if they want to purchase. It’s simple and has been incredibly effective in gaining new Clients and increasing retail sales. Along with posting on my page, I private message friends on Facebook who have either expressed interest or I feel might be open to trying something new and ask if they would like to try a sample, as well as invite them to a beauty bar I’m hosting if they’re in the area. In addition, I like to run contests where I’ll tell people that if they place an order within a certain time frame, they’ll be entered to win a free Celloxylin® Pure Detox Masque. Not only does this help generate retail sales, but it gets people excited.

I’m grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given to work with such amazing people. My sponsor and Manager, Lisa Adam has been nothing but supportive and motivating in helping me reach my goals, even when they’ve seen unattainable. Lisa is incredible in that she truly is a leader who works with and cares greatly about her team, and I love her for it. I’m so happy I made the decision to become an Independent Consultant because there is nothing better than getting paid weekly on my Apriori Beauty Visa Card and spending my earnings how I want to spend them. I cannot wait to see where my business goes and look forward to many promotions and successes ahead. Punta Cana here I come!

I am one of Apriori Beauty’s lucky Founders, but I got off to a slow start. During Apriori Beauty’s company launch, I was simultaneously going through a divorce and moving out of my home with my son and dog. I have to admit, Apriori Beauty wasn’t my 1st priority at the time. A couple of Independent Consultants joined my team and my personal sales were sporadic. There lies the beauty of our Company! Apriori Beauty allows Consultants to work their business at their own pace, without losing your position and rank. Throughout the next few years, my sales increased gradually and I started to become more comfortable with myself again. In the last few years, I’ve reunited with an old boyfriend from High School, fallen in love and was recently persuaded to move across the country to be with him. Since moving to a new state where there aren’t any other Apriori Beauty Consultants, I felt that the world was my oyster. I had a brand new forum in which to educate, enlighten and share our incredible products. How exciting, yet so incredibly scary! I was used to living just a few miles from the Apriori Beauty home office with such amazing owners and staff, a.k.a. “family,” that being so far away put me out of my comfort zone. Even my sponsor, who’s always been incredibly supportive and who I adore, was no longer in driving distance of me. What would I do all by myself? Despite being a little intimidated and uncomfortable, I dove right in.

I joined the local Chamber of Commerce, where I began attending meetings and creating new relationships. I worked on my short, concise, informative answer to, “what do you do?” When I get up to give my one-minute speech, I let my fellow Chamber members know what a good referral for me would be. For example, I’ll say “a fantastic referral for me would be anyone who is interested in learning more about experiencing non-toxic, chemical free, internal and external skincare products.” I also try to schedule a Beauty Bar to host the following week, which I’ve found to be successful for building my business. When I receive a fellow member’s business card, I always write something about them on the back of the card for me to remember them by. Business cards are great because it has all their contact information, so whether I’m emailing a Beauty Bar invitation or notifying my Clients about an upcoming Apriori Beauty sale, I know how to reach them. If a member isn’t able to attend a Beauty Bar or if they’re not responding to my emails, I give them a call and try to schedule a lunch or coffee date with them. Since joining the Chamber of Commerce, I’ve definitely become more confident and consistent when it comes to my Apriori Beauty business. In addition, through the Chamber, I’ve met a lot of people who have not only become good friends of mine, but have also become Clients as well. There are many mornings I don’t feel like waking up at 6am to attend a meeting; however, I make myself get up and go and have yet to regret it.

When I meet a potential new Client, I will inquire as to what they use for skincare and what their specific needs are. I like to use a lot of personal, Client, and Consultant testimonials as examples of how Apriori Beauty has helped others; it validates what I’m saying and they can see for themselves that others truly use and love these products. I then transition into our internal products (Lifeoxylin® Cellular Defense Elixir, LifeoxyLean™ Weight Loss Accelerator, and LifeoxyDream™ Sleep Mist) and give them the analogy of, “if you fixed up the outside of an old car but didn’t repair the engine, how beneficial would that be?” Anyone who has ever met me, knows my love for Lifeoxylin. I mean, I even wore a headdress constructed of fruits and vegetables, and performed a song about Lifeoxylin at Apriori Beauty’s 2014 “Making Life Beautiful” Consultant conference! In addition to sharing testimonials, nothing closes a sale like a product experience. If I’m going to invest my money into something new, I want to know it works, which is why I either invite potential Clients to come over to my house (or meet at a Starbucks) for a product experience, or offer them a sample and set a date to follow up with them. If you want to grow your Clientele list and expand your business, it’s up to you to be the one to follow up and connect with your potential Clients. More often than not, people will either use the sample and not say anything to you, or not even use it at all. By being consistent and reaching out to them, you’re establishing that relationship and showing them you care about their skincare needs.

And speaking of potential Clients, Beauty Bars have become my favorite venue for introducing and sharing the products. Whether it’s only one person, or a room full of people, I make sure the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. I arrange healthy snacks (except for my delicious cupcakes, which always get devoured), serve water with cucumber slices, and of course have wine on hand. My guests and I converse, allowing me to learn about their skincare needs, while we snack on small bites and indulge in some wine. Once everyone has eaten, we move over towards the display table, where guests are invited to take a seat, learn, and experience Apriori Beauty’s products. In the middle of the table, always sits a display, highlighting that month’s product specials. Use Apriori Beauty’s monthly and holiday specials to your advantages. If someone sees a product they’re interested in is on sale, it might help entice them to purchase. Each place setting has a wash cloth (to wipe off product samples after using), and a sample of the ViViD Hair Therapy products to take home with them. I’m never pushy, but instead encouraging and patient. I let my guests know that Apriori Beauty has a 30-day money-back guarantee, so if they purchase a product and it doesn’t work out, they always have the option of returning it and getting their money back. I follow up with my guests after the Beauty Bar by sending them a thank you note for attending and for the items they purchased. If they took a sample but didn’t purchase, I ask them what they thought and see if there’s any questions they have. It’s a small gesture that leads to amazing results.

As I mentioned in the beginning, the great thing about Apriori Beauty is that this is your business, where you’re given the flexibility and freedom to work on your time, and at your own pace. I’ve come to learn how to incorporate this business into my schedule, even if I feel as if I don’t have time for it. Whenever I travel and stay a friend’s home, my hostess gift to them is always Apriori Beauty products. During my stay, I like to take advantage of that time by doing facials with them using the Pure Detox Masque or Enzyme Activated Micro Scrub. It’s fun, easy, and everyone enjoys it. Plus, more often than not, it leads to a new Client order. As you can see, I’m proof that with Apriori Beauty, it’s never too late to restart and build the business of your dreams.

Timing is everything!

When it came to getting momentum going for my Apriori Beauty business, timing was everything. I’ve been with this Company since the very beginning (before there were even products), but in order for my business to thrive, I had to feel and know when it was the right time for me. My love for the products was never a question. I was always sharing how amazing the products were with friends and family. Instead, it became more of when I was ready to bring others on board with me.

I began reaching out, one person at-a-time. Between working full-time and having a busy family, I needed to be careful who I was investing my time with. Relationship building became my focus. Each person I reached out to was someone I already had a relationship with. They were either co-workers or gym buddies. In fact, a Consultant of mine, as well as a new Client are both women I know through the gym. I also realized that a majority of my business relied on other peoples’ timelines, not just my own. I often received responses such as “when I finish my other products, I’ll try yours,” or “call me next month.” Through this realization, I learned how important follow-up was. Sometimes you gain success with follow up, sometimes you don’t. Either way, just keep moving on to the next person.

Two outlets that have impacted my business the most are Beauty Bars and Social Media. If you have an opportunity to either host or attend a Beauty Bar, I highly recommend it. It’s a fun way of sharing the Apriori Beauty experience with your potential Clients (and Consultants), and it gives your guests the opportunity to try the products and see the results for themselves. Seeing is believing and people like results, especially when it involves their skin! When it comes to social media, I’ve never been an active Facebook user, but I knew it would be beneficial to my business. After updating my profile picture and posting an Apriori Beauty image or two on my Facebook wall, I immediately received comments and messages from friends I hadn’t seen in years asking me for product samples. Before I knew it, I was registering new Clients and placing orders. It was at this time that I realized building a retailing business was where it’s at for me. I love getting paid every week and when my Clients are interested and ready to be Consultants, I will be there to help them get started on their own journey.

Working full-time, being there for my family, planning events, and going to the gym are just a few aspects of my crazy schedule. I’ve come to notice that the busier my schedule is, the more I actually get done. As a way to stay focused and organized, I make a list each night for the next day, which includes family, work, and Apriori Beauty. My aim is to give each section of my life the time and attention it needs. It’s all about balance and I’ve finally found mine.

Working her way up Apriori Beauty’s Top Retailer lists, Melissa Glod is a consistent Retailer, continuously building her retailing business month-after-month with new Clients.

When I was first approached by my good friend Kathy DeRango about Apriori Beauty’s opportunity, I hesitated. I was working full-time as a hair stylist and between work and family, I didn’t see room for anything new. I had tried the product samples she gave me and noticed a definite improvement in the way my skin looked and felt. Despite my reservations, I registered as a Client and two months later, I took the plunge and became an Independent Consultant. I didn’t know how I was going to fit this new business into my schedule, but I did know that I wanted to share these amazing products with my friends and family.

My retailing business has been a slow growing process due to my schedule. There have been many times where I’ve found myself discouraged because I’m not moving at the pace as some of my fellow Consultants, but I remind myself that we’re all on different paths with different lives, and as long as I set goals and stay positive, I can achieve anything! It’s funny because when I first became a Consultant back in 2011, I felt like I couldn’t do the business because of my full-time job. Flash forward to now, I have my full-time job at the salon, plus a part-time job on the side and my Apriori Beauty business. I’m busier now than I was in 2011, and yet my Apriori Beauty business is doing the best it’s ever done! Proof that despite your schedule, there is room to fit in a little here, and a little there. As long as you’re giving your business the attention it needs to grow, you will get results. It’s like a skincare regimen – if you don’t consistently use the products and take care of your skin, how can you expect it to improve?

Whereas I’m not able to share Apriori Beauty at my salon, I do have previous salon clients that I’ve been able to connect and share with. Samples play a huge role in gaining new Clients and sales. Once I’ve shared with a prospect and have put the product in their hands, I wait a few days and then follow-up with them. Knowing how I can be wrapped up with things and the last thing I would do is reach out and order skincare, it’s important that I’m the one to follow-up with my prospects, not the other way around. They have busy lives and unless I connect with them and ask their thoughts on the samples, I’m probably not going to hear from them. One thing I plan to start doing is coffee dates, which will allow me more time with prospective Clients, and give me more room to share the products. It’s all about stepping outside your comfort zone and not just doing what’s easy. I want take my business to the next level and with that comes commitment and creativity. 2015 is all about staying focused, creating goals, and putting my success out into the universe to be heard.

Apriori Beauty has taught me so much about healthy skincare and anti-aging. I’ve learned the role nutrition plays in gaining healthy skin, as well as the importance of using safe ingredients. When I joined Apriori Beauty in March of 2009, there weren’t any products yet. I couldn’t even pronounce its name at first, but I knew that I had to be a part of this Company. From day one, I’ve believed 100% in Apriori Beauty, its Founders, and its mission*. Throughout these past six years, I’ve seen my business grow alongside Apriori Beauty as our product selection has expanded and more people are being introduced to the benefits of using a safe and effective skincare line. I especially love the retailing side of this business because it puts right now money in my pocket every week!

My Kindergarten report card said, “Val is a social butterfly” and to be honest, not much has changed since then. I love talking to everyone I meet and this has been extremely helpful in growing my Apriori Beauty business. People always comment on how good my skin looks and I never fail to make it known that it’s because of our amazing products. When they see first-hand how effective Apriori Beauty is, they’re instantly interested because they know these products actually work and aren’t just false promises.

I never know where my newest Client will come from. It could be someone from the gym, grocery store, a colleague from the school I work at, or even a long lost cousin! I love wearing my Apriori Beauty tees and always take my Apriori Beauty Yoga Mat with me to yoga class. It’s easy to SHARE when people ask you, “What’s Apriori Beauty?” Meeting Clients is as simple as making that connection. But, these connections need to be real and from the heart. Make it a point to get to know your prospective Clients so they’re not just a random name you handed a sample to, but rather, a real person you can see yourself talking and connecting with on a regular basis.

I’ve found this to be the perfect way to help qualify a prospective Client: Are they really interested in that sample? Will they use it? How can I get their information? I encourage them to bring a friend or two and advertise it as a ‘Girls Day/Night In!’ Remember, introducing the products to potential Clients is meant to be a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone.

In addition to getting the products on peoples’ faces, in order for me to maintain high sales, I need to be consistent. This may mean following up with Clients, offering them specials, or even running contests – as long as I’m connecting with my Clients on a consistent basis, my business remains steady and flowing with orders. In addition, it’s imperative you address the needs of your Clients. Not only will your Clients be happy and satisfied, your sales will automatically increase. Stop selling and start serving! At Apriori Beauty, we have something that people need and the better the customer service you provide, the better your business will grow.

My goal is to share Apriori Beauty and to make a difference, not just to make a sale!

I didn’t set out to become an Apriori Beauty Consultant. To tell you the truth, when I agreed to try a sample, I didn’t think the products would be any different than the hundreds of others I’ve tried. I have had problematic skin my entire life and feel like I’ve tried everything out there. Things would work for a little bit, and then my skin would go back to being dry, red, and sprinkled with acne. Over the more recent years, I had started eating organic and looking for healthy alternatives to care for my skin, which is when a few close friends of mine introduced me to Apriori Beauty.

Throughout my first year of using Apriori Beauty, I was getting compliments on my skin for the first time in my life; I couldn’t believe it! I was already using and loving Apriori Beauty, so I took the leap and signed up to be an Independent Consultant. Talking to people comes easy for me; however, selling is far out of my comfort zone. Since I know there are people out there with skin issues just as I had and are missing the opportunity of using Apriori Beauty, I decided to jump out of my comfort zone and began sharing. I started my business off slow, mostly sharing with close friends and family, who knew and trusted me. I focused my time and efforts on them, learning more about the products and becoming comfortable with introducing Apriori Beauty to new individuals.

It’s important for my business to always follow up and check in with my Clients. I want them to feel that I’m reachable and available. If they have questions, they know they can come to me and if I don’t know the answer, I will easily find it for them. I couldn’t succeed without the incredible support I have from my upline, who are always there for me whenever I have a question or concern. There is an endless list of knowledgeable and confident people at Apriori Beauty willing to help out at any moment. This past year, I hosted my first Beauty Bar, and it was the best decision I could have made because it gave me the confidence to talk more. I loved how relaxed everyone was, and there was no pressure to purchase. With the start of a new year, I plan to do more Beauty Bars and share Apriori Beauty with a wider selection of people.

I found a passion with Apriori Beauty and the reason why is because the products are safe and work for me! Sharing Apriori Beauty with others and seeing them experience positive results has been life changing – having my business grow is just an added bonus.

Since I was a kid, hair and skincare have always played an influential role in my life. In 1971, my mother, Joy Anguish became the first female barber in the state of Texas and later went back to school to earn her Esthetician license. Growing up, I was constantly exposed to the art of cutting hair and became greatly influenced by my mother’s passion for hair and skincare. So much so, that in 2006 I opened LaBella Salon and Med Spa in Lindale, Texas, and asked my mom to be the salon’s Esthetician.

I was in the market for a new skincare line that I could use in my salon for facial treatments when Sherri Bradly introduced me to Apriori Beauty. Instead of jumping right in as a Consultant, I started off as Client because I felt it was important to test Apriori Beauty’s products on myself before introducing them to Clients at the salon. My Clients trust me and I don’t feel comfortable sharing a product unless I believe in the product 100%. It wasn’t long after I started using Apriori Beauty that I decided to introduce it into my salon. Apriori Beauty’s products speak for themselves: they’re safe, pure, and effective! I knew that if I was impressed with the results I was receiving after using the products, my salon Clients would definitely love and appreciate them. Needless to say, it was an easy decision to carry Apriori Beauty in LaBella Salon and Med Spa.

A majority of my Apriori Beauty Clients have been referred to me via word of mouth because of my salon facials. When I have a new Apriori Beauty facial Client, I take it as an opportunity for them to experience the entire Celloxylin® line on their face. As I’m applying each product on their skin, I’m explaining HOW each product is working and WHY I’m using it. I could be there all day explaining the benefits of using Apriori Beauty, but until I actually get the product(s) on their skin and they can see the results, it’s likely they won’t purchase. Information is key, but results sell!

Being an Apriori Beauty Consultant has not only benefited me, but LaBella Salon and Med Spa as well. My Clients now have access to quality hair and skincare, and the income I generate from retailing helps to financially support my salon and staff. Passion for hair and skincare has always been the driving force behind LaBella Salon and I feel fortunate to have found a skincare that not only enforces my belief for safe and effective products, but also allows me to build a sustainable business just by sharing them.

When I was first was introduced to Apriori Beauty, I became instantly aware of how extraordinary the products were due to my prior knowledge and experience of working with skincare in retail. Just one look at the ingredients and I knew I had to start using it! I don’t believe in sacrificing health for beauty, and Apriori Beauty’s commitment to being safe was impressive. Soon after, I was invited to a Consultant Training held at the corporate office, where I met co-owners Susan Twellman and Elizabeth Vervynck…I signed up that day. Despite having no experience in network marketing, I jumped right in because I fell in love with the company. For me, that is the key to success: love the products, and everything else will fall into place.

It took some time for me to build my business because I needed to find potential Clients beyond my circle of friends and family. I became active in networking groups, which helped me build relationships with new people and expand my network. I learned that once people consistently saw and got to know me, they began to trust me, and curiosity in the products soon followed. After Apriori Beauty’s annual “Making Life Beautiful” Consultant conference in 2013, I was energized and ready to host my first Beauty Bar. It was a huge success because it allowed my guests to have fun and learn about the products in a relaxed environment. Instead of guests feeling pressured to purchase products, they were encouraged to sit back, learn about the products, and enjoy themselves. If you have the opportunity to host a Beauty Bar, whether that includes one person or ten guests, I highly recommend you do it because it’s what took my business to the next level.

With my business in a solid state, I find there is a never ending list of people who I feel confident I can talk about Apriori Beauty with. I always ask a lot of questions before I begin showing the products, such as their skin type and needs. This helps me tailor the presentation to what will help the Client most, and then I begin to share my story. I provide tips based on what they need and share how to use the products in order to get the maximum benefit. I love my Apriori Beauty business. I love my Clients. And, I love the referrals my wonderful Clients send my way. Apriori Beauty has opened so many doors for me, not only professionally but personally as well. Retailing has helped put me in touch with so many different women with skin issues. It’s an incredible feeling to be able to help them look and feel amazing!

It’s all about passion and excitement when discussing the products

I am truly blessed by my Apriori Beauty business. It’s given me the opportunity to meet and become close with a wide variety of women who share a common passion: helping men and woman look and feel their best through Apriori Beauty. When I first became an Apriori Beauty Consultant, I was more focused on the personal benefits of using the products and receiving a rebate rather than the retailing aspect of the business. Both Kathleen Jones and Terri Lindow (my up-lines), offered to help throw my first Apriori Beauty party, which turned out to be a huge success. Despite the positive responses from the party, it wasn’t until my friends started to notice the improvement in my skin and hair that I felt motivated to dive into retailing. I began sharing my experience with the products, my favorites being the Celloxylin™ Cellular Age Advantage line and Derma Firm Illuminator. They could hear the passion and excitement in my voice. Not only did my friends trust the words coming out of my mouth, but standing right in front of them was proof the products work!

Whereas my friends are wonderful Clients, I never limit myself when it comes to retailing and expanding my business. Potential clients are everywhere – work, the grocery store, your kids’ school, even a restaurant you’re having dinner at! It’s for this reason that it’s important to carry brochures and samples everywhere you go because you just might gain a new Client while pumping gas. Even when running a quick errand, I always make an effort to look nice and presentable, especially when it comes to my number one selling point – my face. This way, when I get into a conversation and the topic of skincare is brought up, I can incorporate Apriori Beauty with confidence and ease. And, if they are interested in trying the products and seeing results for themselves, I had them over a sample and follow-up with them three days later.

I have since hosted several more Beauty Bars at my house, which have been instrumental in growing my retailing business. I call them “Love Share Social” where guests can enjoy sampling the incredible beauty products with their girlfriends. In the invitations, I inform them that each guest will receive $10 off their purchase if they bring a friend. I also like to throw in a special gift (a favorite from their wish list). This small gesture leaves them thrilled and excited, as if I had given them a million dollars. One perk of so living so close to Apriori Beauty’s Headquarters, is that I’m able to pick up my Clients’ orders and deliver their products directly to them, saving on shipping costs.

Alongside Beauty Bars, Facebook has been another huge component in spreading the word about Apriori Beauty. Whether I’m “sharing” a post from Apriori Beauty’s page or featuring a blurb on a favorite product of mine, my goal is to share Apriori Beauty with two new Facebook friends a day and Instant Message them as a follow-up. Sharing my testimonial, hosting Beauty Bars, and being actively involved on Facebook have all been contributing factors to my Apriori Beauty success!

“Apriori Beauty has opened the door to connecting with people”

When I became an Apriori Beauty Consultant, my intention wasn’t to share the products with others. I loved the skincare and was only purchasing for my own personal use; however, that quickly changed when people started approaching me and commenting on how great my skin looked. I realized that if they were loving the results I was getting from Apriori Beauty, there was a good chance they might be interested in trying it out. I began asking friends if they wanted to sample a new skincare product and from there, my business took off.

The driving force behind my retail success is Beauty Bars. When I made the decision to share Apriori Beauty, I hosted several Beauty Bars, which allowed friends, family and acquaintances to come together and socialize in a fun and low-key environment. Women are always ready for a girls’ night out and when you add skincare to the mix and advertise it’s free admission, you’re guaranteed to get a good turnout! There’s no pressure to buy, but rather enjoy yourself while experiencing the products. It’s a great avenue to attract new customers because guests are enticed to order when they see the products themselves and witness the results first-hand. I provide mini facials using the Derma Firm Illuminator and encourage my guests to take a “Before” and “After” photo. I make it known that these photos are for them so they can see the difference in their skin after using Apriori Beauty. Whether the “Before” and “After” photo is one hour apart or 3 days, guests are always impressed with the outcome. It’s become a popular selling avenue of mine and helps close the sale. The luxury of Beauty Bars is that you can turn them into birthday celebrations or bachelorette parties – basically any event can become your Apriori Beauty Bar!

I firmly believe that my honesty and integrity has also been a significant component to my business success. When I tell Clients I would never try and sell them a product I wouldn’t use on myself, they know I’m speaking the truth. My teenage daughters were constantly at the dermatologist because of their acne. Since they began using the ProDermalin® Gentle Cleanser and Calming Moisture, their faces have cleared up!
