“If there is anything I’ve learned, it’s to ask and allow yourself to receive support, and in turn give support when needed.”

Back in December 2014, I accomplished a major goal of mine – I graduated from massage school. Whereas school required most of my time and attention, it was extremely important to me because I was helping others reduce stress, lessen pain, and assist in their shift to self-healing. All the work and effort I put in was always worth it because I knew I was making a difference in other people’s lives.

The same can be said for my Apriori Beauty business, which is near and dear to my heart. As with massage school, Apriori Beauty has gifted me with an amazing support system consisting of mentors, accountability partners, and valued resources. More importantly, I’ve gained genuine friends who I foresee working with long into the future. For me, support has been the underlining factor in building my business. Yes, you can build and maintain a successful business on your own, but I’ve found that the more you work as a team and support one another, the more powerful and successful everyone’s business becomes. Each person brings with them a unique gift to the team. Some hold strengths in organization and commitment, while others are stronger in sales and speaking to potential Clients. If one person is unsure of how to approach a prospect, they automatically have a group to reach out to and receive feedback from. If there is anything I’ve learned, it’s to ask and allow yourself to receive support, and in turn give support when needed. I think that’s why my team’s Beauty Bars are always successful. It’s because we’re always radiating positivity and our guests are attracted to that. What we lack as individuals, we possess as a team.

In addition to the people of Apriori Beauty, what initially drew me and has kept me as an Apriori Beauty Independent Consultant are the products. There are so many cosmetic companies in this country that are causing people harm. I love Apriori Beauty’s concept of sharing because it really is about sharing as opposed to the dreaded term “selling.” Apriori Beauty is providing a product that is not only safe but produces amazing results – proof that you don’t have to sacrifice health for beauty! As someone who cares about the health and safety of others, I feel obligated to share these incredible products. Why? Because if I don’t, chances are they’ll be introduced to something else that isn’t safe nor produce the results they desire. Every person should have the choice to use a product that is safe and effective and should never have to compromise his or her health for beauty!

My suggestion for all Consultants is to take advantage of the many resources available to us through Apriori Beauty. The Consultant Back Office is full of retailing and business-building trainings, weekly momentum exercises, and Susan Twellman’s weekly “Walk the Talk” calls which always leave me inspired and motivated. Furthermore, it’s imperative you establish goals and write them down on paper. Goals are much more powerful when written because they keep you accountable and help establish your game plan for building your business. When I first started massage school, they had us write down our goals. I stated that I wanted to be working at a Holistic Center. Later when the school mailed out the letters we had written to ourselves, I had completely forgot I even wrote it, but the great thing was that two weeks prior to receiving the letter, I had just rented space in a Holistic Center. Never underestimate the power of thought or dreams – anything is possible! All in all, no matter what comes your way, focus on maintaining a high positivity ratio. Bad days will come and go and it’s not always easy to discard negativity from our life. Just as long as your positivity outweighs the negativity by at least 4:1, you’re set for productivity and success. Remember, every negative or failure in your life is an opportunity to learn and improve.

You hold the power to turn things around

It’s amazing how my Apriori Beauty business in January turned out considering how it began. From the first of the month, I was sick for three straight weeks, disabling me from giving attention to my Consultants and Clients. I had goals I planned on accomplishing, but with everything going on, it didn’t look like that was going to be happening. There was a certain point where I decided I wasn’t going to let January go wrong – I couldn’t control my health, but I could control what type of month my business was going to have. It was time to make something good come out of the month. With a week left before the start of February, I started reaching out to people I had given samples to but hadn’t followed-up with. Just by making a few calls and reconnecting with others, I was able to drum up business, gain new Clients (and orders), and turn a sluggish month into a successful one. I needed to have one thing in my life I could control and that one thing was my Apriori Beauty business. I started off January sick and unproductive, and left it healthy and accomplished. It goes to show that no matter what, you can turn things around – even if you have less than 7 days till the close of the month.

I’m a firm believer in launch parties to jumpstart your new Consultant’s business. There’s an excitement that ignites in your business and it spreads awareness to your friends and family. Unless you announce that you’re starting a new endeavor, it’s likely others won’t know about your business. When I did my launch party, it changed the way I looked at myself doing the business. I announced my business, and it forced me to be productive, and get things moving. This party provides the platform for you to not only share with friends, family, and acquaintances about your Apriori Beauty business, but potentially have them share with their friends and acquaintances. I’ve had guests come to parties of mine (as well as my Consultants’) who would have never tried Apriori Beauty unless they were at the party, hearing about the products and sampling them – and now they’re amazing Clients of mine, and some even became Consultants! You may have a huge turnout, you may just have one person. Either way, utilize that outcome to your advantage. If someone isn’t able to attend, reach out and ask if they’d like to meet one-on-one or try a sample. Chances are, they’re curious and want to know about the products. Not everyone has to host a launch party, but if you’re serious about your business, I encourage you to consider it.

I’m a fan of parties, can you tell? In addition to launch parties, I love hosting Beauty Bars. Presenting can be a daunting task, especially if you’re a newer Consultant and don’t know everything about the products; however, it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. I always tell my Consultants: keep it simple. Whether I’m hosting a party or talking to a friend, I speak from personal experience and reference Apriori Beauty’s product catalog and website when necessary. If you begin rattling off facts, people will zone out. They want to hear the results and what the products can do for them. Yes, there will be people with allergies who are interested in knowing the ingredients. When this situation occurs, I pull out my notebook, which includes a copy of every ingredient and which products they’re located in (courtesy of Apriori Beauty’s Science Center) and we go through the ingredients together. It’s become a major resource of mine and I’ve found that people appreciate that I’m prepared and have an answer for them directly from Apriori Beauty’s website. If we can’t locate that specific ingredient they’re inquiring about, it’s because it’s not found in any Apriori Beauty products (i.e. gluten). When you’re prepared, it adds trust to your relationship with that potential Client/Consultant. Remember, it’s about building relationships. Before a person buys the products or the business, they have to buy you first, and that requires trust.

Twenty-fifteen has already started off great and with Apriori Beauty’s Punta Cana Incentive Trip and the new $49 Starter Kit, my team and I are on fire! Living on the east coast with zero below temps and snow storms, all I can think about is laying on the beach in warm weather and relaxing in the sun with my Apriori sisters. I’m going to Punta Cana in November and I’ve declared I’m going there for free, which means between now and September, my team and I will be working together to grow our businesses and earning our way to that sandy beach. I’ll leave you with one question – where will you be in November?

The less time you have to devote to your business, the smarter you have to be with that time.

I love a good challenge. Several years ago, my youngest daughter decided she wanted to take up Taekwondo. As I was sitting on the bench watching her during class, all I could think about was how I’d rather be out there on the mat instead of sitting on the sideline with the other moms. I didn’t just want to sit in a chair, so I decided to sign-up because I knew it would be a great workout. I wasn’t expecting to, but I quickly became addicted to Taekwondo, and even kept attending after my daughter lost interest. It took me about three years, but in December of 2008, I became a black belt in Taekwondo. It’s an extremely high honor to be presented a black belt. A ceremony is held in which the Grand Master presents you with the belt and takes a few moments to speak about your journey to this place. I’ll never forget what the Grand Master said about me: “When I first met Kathy, I thought she was such a girly-girl. And she is, but she’s a girly-girl who never gives up.” This comment still sticks with me today. He was right, I don’t give up. Earning that black belt took perseverance, self-control, and discipline. So, if I could practice such determination and strength in one area, why couldn’t I do it in every other area of my life? It took a lot of work to reach the ultimate goal of black belt, and quitting was never something my brain ever contemplated. That perseverance has transferred into many areas of my life, including my Apriori Beauty business. Why not reach the top of Apriori Beauty and promote to Platinum Director? There isn’t anything the Silver, Gold, and Platinum Directors are doing that the rest of us aren’t doing – they’re just doing it more.

Anyone can promote to Executive Director at Apriori Beauty and be where I’m at; it’s not an exclusive club. If you truly want to grow your business, it’s going to require your time, dedication, and most importantly, consistency. You can be successful with Apriori Beauty while working a full-time job and being a committed wife and/or mother, but you have to consistently make your business a priority. Let’s say your schedule permits you to dedicate only one hour, three days a week, to your business. That’s great, but never let those three days go by without working your Apriori Beauty business. Since you only have that one hour, you need to be spending that hour doing right-now, money-making activities. The less time you have to devote to your business, the smarter you have to be with that time. Don’t spend it organizing files. Instead, go out and share. Work on obtaining Clients and Consultants. And whatever you do, always ask yourself, “is this conducive to increasing my business right now?” People with outside obligations can have a successful Apriori Beauty business, your time spent on your business will just look differently than others.

If I want to maximize my paycheck (who doesn’t?), then it’s essential that I’m a business builder and set the example for my team. This means working closely with my Consultants and helping them meet their goals. I call and follow-up with them, send texts, and even distribute a monthly email blast touching base with my team and highlighting specifics from Apriori Beauty’s Consultant Newsletter. This past November, I put the word out to my entire team and asked who wanted to step up and join me in pushing beyond our normal comfort zones, and really focus on building larger and stronger businesses this year. In my case, that means pushing to promote at least two more levels this year. That’s a huge commitment to put out there. Those Consultants on my team who decided to make the commitment, are part of my “Building in 2015” challenge. I do monthly “Thinking BIG” calls where we have guest speakers and focus on training and tips to build our businesses. We hold challenges and I always make sure I have prizes to motivate those who achieve what they set out to do. The key is, your Consultants have to want it – you can’t force them to work and build their business if that’s not a priority of theirs. I make sure that whatever we’re doing, we’re staying informed and focused, setting goals, pushing past our limits, getting recognition, and have a goodtime while doing it. Have fun is a very important part of this business.

The more my business builds and I grow at Apriori Beauty, the more I want to expand and help other Consultants, regardless if they’re on my team or not. The success of Apriori Beauty is based on the ability of all us Consultants. I look at Leadership in Apriori Beauty as a vehicle to help others and encourage fellow Consultants to push past their comfort zones and accomplish what they once imagined “impossible.” The beauty of this Company is that we can all rise to the top and maximize our success – it’s just a question of if you’re willing to get a little dirty and rise to the occasion.

I fell in love with safe and healthy skincare at a house party when I was 28. It was my birthday and determined not to age, I treated myself to a skincare set and committed to using it every day and evening. I immediately noticed that this skincare was different from the expensive department skincare I was used to buying. My skin was improving and felt better. I began to research and realized that just because a product is sold by a high-end retailer, doesn’t always mean it’s better. As a teacher, it was second nature to continue learning about the products my family and I were putting on our face and body. As I began to research and find out more, I started sharing with those around me and introducing them to a skincare line that would help, not harm their skin. Slowly, my business began growing and within a few years, I went from teaching kids about reading and writing to teaching women about safe and effective skincare.

As time went on, I became disenchanted with my first skincare company and made the decision to seek out a new skincare line. I loved Network Marketing; it allowed me to meet and build relationships with various people that I otherwise wouldn’t have come across. Sharing was in my blood, but I needed to be sharing products I truly believed in. A friend of mine was part of a new skincare company called Apriori Beauty, so I gave it a try, sampling their Celloxylin® Cellular Age Advantage line. After trying out the first four (out of six) products, I was sold! I couldn’t stop looking at my skin – there was something different about it. Once you know something is better, you can’t go back, which is why I became an Apriori Beauty Consultant in early 2011.

One thing I’ve learned is to never quit. There have been times of frustration where efforts I’ve put into my business have not produced results. Instead of throwing in the towel, I move on and try a different approach. Growing and maintaining a sustainable business takes time and dedication. The key is to find like-minded men and women to join your business. Without these women by my side, I would not be where I am today, and neither would my Apriori Beauty business. I love working with my team, supporting them, encouraging them, and watching them blossom into amazing, hard-working business women. My team is comprised of women of all ages. Women who are my go-to gal pals, my rocks, and advisors. You can’t succeed in this business without the help of others. Growing your business is a team effort because without the support of your Consultants and Clients, you have no business. Plus, the experience is so much more gratifying when you have others there to enjoy it with you. There will be times where you need advice and then there will be times when others are in need of your help. This business is a give-and-take type of relationship and the more available you make yourself to your team, the more support you’ll receive from them.

Coming up on my 4-year anniversary with Apriori Beauty, I rejoice every day that I stayed the course. A Company run by the most integrity-filled women, Susan Twellman and Elizabeth Vervynck’s passion for the products is as strong as their commitment to the Consultants! Both women are consistently giving us the tools we need to grow our business and put products on everyone’s bathroom counters across the nation. Because of them, I’m able to continue working and growing my Apriori Beauty business alongside classy, strong and loving women. Thank you Apriori Beauty for being the blueprint of my life!

Keeping Your Ducks in a Row

I have always been a busy person with varied interests and responsibilities. As a wife, mother of two daughters and the need to supplement our family income, I was constantly looking for new ways to earn extra money without sacrificing time with my family; a nine-to-five job was never going to work for me. Over the years I’ve had my own Interior Design business, worked on special projects for my husband’s garment manufacturing company, was an educational theatre Costume Designer and was also a freelance Artist (often all at the same time). These were all jobs I not only enjoyed, but also allowed flexibility so my family could remain my number one priority. I didn’t think my life could handle one more item. And then in 1999, I was introduced to Direct Sales.

I immediately fell in love with Direct Sales and recognized it as another income producing activity I could fit into my schedule. However, unlike my other businesses, Direct Sales gave me the opportunity to surround myself amongst like-minded women with an entrepreneurial spirit that lead busy, productive lives and who inspired me to do more and be more. When Apriori Beauty came into my life in March of 2011, I knew immediately this was the Company for me. I was in the market for a superior product to sell, leadership with integrity, and a compensation plan that truly paid me for my efforts and business activity I could control. I’d learned over the years that whereas the Direct Sales model was desirable, not all companies were created equal. I could recognize a good thing when I saw Apriori Beauty.

Balance is vital when juggling life’s many responsibilities. In order for me to feel successful, I need my business to be a balance between sales and sponsoring. More importantly, it must fit around my family, and not the other way around. Where I used to mark my weekly calendar with my daughters’ activities, I now mark them with my granddaughters’, so little has changed with family priorities. To accomplish anything, all my ducks have to be in a row. This starts with a weekly calendar, where family and personal activities are marked first, and then business. I set aside and create “office time” that is specific to Apriori Beauty activity. This changes every week because my life is not static, but I make sure time is allotted where I make follow-up calls, write notes to Clients (and potential ones), send out samples, and brainstorm with team members. Another reason I have my Apriori Beauty time marked on the calendar is so my family is aware and knows that this is “work time.” They have always respected this and leave me undisturbed while I work. If I don’t respect my business no one else will. I’ve discovered that when I neglect my weekly calendar, those “ducks” have a tendency to wander off and nothing gets done.

While I try and keep my personal life out of my “office time” to ensure I remain productive, I never keep my business out of my personal life. You never know when you are going to meet someone and you want to be prepared and open to the opportunity when introducing Apriori Beauty. That being said, I don’t share Apriori Beauty with everyone I meet. I don’t prejudge others, but I prefer to take things slow. I enjoy building relationships first and whereas I will always share what I do when I meet someone, an immediate sale is never my main purpose. I plant the seed because I want to get to know the person first, which is essential for my business. Who the person is and how we are together makes all the difference to me. Everyone may be a potential Client, but a Client relationship is an intimate thing. For me to provide the best service, it has to be a person I enjoy being around because when you have exceptional products as Apriori Beauty does, it’s likely this relationship will last a long time. Building that relationship first is also important because the majority of my Consultants have started off as Clients. Whilst a Client relationship is quite personal, a Consultant relationship is even more involved. These are people who you will bring into your life and they will bring you into theirs. When I know someone I want to spend more time with (and who I believe enjoys spending time with me), is when I pursue the opportunity. Once I do begin to speak seriously about the opportunity, it’s because I have already established a relationship with them and we have a connection that makes it easier for them to see how Apriori Beauty could fit into their life. It’s a process to find the right fit and then to make it happen. That potential new Consultant needs to know they are wanted in your business, and then they need to decide if this is what they want for themselves. My role as a leader is to encourage, not push…to suggest, but not pull. My aim is to have people on our team who will benefit from Apriori Beauty, as well as give back to the company and the team. This is a group effort and when one person does well, we all succeed.

I believe in growing slow and steady, and being consistent. I’m constantly learning from other Apriori Beauty Consultants, and incorporate their advice and experience to re-evaluate my own business. Usually after MLB (Apriori Beauty’s annual Consultant conference) and before the new calendar year, I will plan an Apriori Beauty restart. I begin by using our USE LOVE SHARE Workbook and focus at looking at my business from a fresh perspective – as if I was a new Consultant. I keep each previous year’s workbook and reread where I was before, see what I have accomplished, what has been working, and what needs to change or improve. I don’t beat myself up for not meeting goals. Life happens and you can’t go back. Instead, I try and expand on those goals for the future. We are often told to love others for who they are, but you also need to love yourself as you are now and look forward to the new you that you want to be. I treasure every relationship I’ve made with Apriori Beauty, and I look forward to meeting more wonderful people that will come into my life one day because of Apriori Beauty.

When I was introduced to Apriori Beauty in 2009, I was at the intersection of “Needs and Wants” and wondered how I would ever find a way to achieve the balance, flexibility and job satisfaction I was longing for. I was clear that I needed to use my gifts and passion in a way to benefit others while earning money for my efforts. The path to this crossroad had been paved by marriage, motherhood, a 35-year career as a Dental Hygienist and 8 years in Direct Sales … but I knew there was still something missing. Then the “Ah Ha” moment of Opportunity came through via a new startup company called Apriori Beauty. They were building a bridge to “Making Life Beautiful” under the strong integrity, business experience and leadership of Susan Twellman and Elizabeth Vervynck. Expanding on my direct sales experience would be fun, and the new freedom to work alongside like-minded women through Network/Multi-Level Marketing with an amazing compensation plan seemed like a dream come true. It didn’t take long for me to discover that I not only wanted to become a Consultant, but that I also wanted to take part in leadership as a Founder. Five years later, I’m still jut as proud and happy to extend this opportunity to others, by sharing our incredible company with effective products, an exemplary vision, and limitless potential.

I vividly remember the first time I received a compliment on my skin after I had used the first set of Apriori Beauty skincare samples available only to Founders at the time (pre-launch of products). I was stunned and didn’t know what to say. I hadn’t told anyone about my new venture and was not prepared for compliments … but they came! After my 3rd compliment in one night, I turned to the woman and said “thank you” and quickly added, “It’s my business.” She asked what my business was and I told her that I was representing a new boutique skincare company, which focused on pure products that worked. She replied with what would become my first order! It doesn’t always work that way, but when it does, my response is the same – I keep it simple. I’ve found that the less I say, the more curiosity it creates. Women by nature are curious and want to know what your secret is. Apriori Beauty is the best kept secret in an industry based on hype and unfulfilled promises. Use it to your advantage in a classy and confident way. Whereas other skincare products don’t always deliver the results they pledge, Apriori Beauty is different in that our products not only give you fast and effective results, but are also all-natural, chemical-free, and safe.

I give out skincare samples on occasion but have learned that the Celloxylin® 5-step Cellular Age Advantage set can be overwhelming to new people. By breaking apart the sample strips (Crème Cleanse, Activating Tonic, Firming Serum, Eye+Lip Age Eraser, Day Defense Plus SPF 25, and Night Repair 3Deep) instead of handing over the entire strip, you’re allowing the potential client to select the product(s) they’re most interested in. I like to focus on the featured product specials of the month and always make sure my clients are in the loop with regards to sales because it’s the perfect time for them to purchase if their favorite product happens to be one of the specials. If I can help my Clients save money and get the best opportunity possible, then I’ve done my job as their personal Consultant.

“Who do you know?” is the most effective question you can ask your Clients, friends, and family. Referrals are key to not only expanding your Clientele base, but your downline as well. Have a Client who uses, loves, and shares the products? Why not get paid as well? Turn your Clients into ambassadors and recognize them for their efforts, whether it’s advertising their skincare results, referring others to Apriori Beauty, or even just being a consistent Client. You are a resource for your clients and their go-to for all things beautiful. Take the opportunity to continuously plant seeds and reap the harvest you desire.

It’s a privilege to be working “for myself but not by myself.” I’ve been blessed with a dynamic team, where everyone has the flexibility to achieve their own success as they have defined it. The relationships we develop with Apriori Beauty help expand our outlooks, as well as encourage us to continuously grow and stay committed to our business and each other as a Company. Apriori Beauty has provided the vehicle to access a highway to success. The road you choose to take is up to you. There is no short cut or secret passage that will get you there ahead of anyone else. You’ll need a full tank of gas, and choose your travel companions wisely because there’ll be speed limits, stop signs, and possible repairs along the ride. The journey to success is beautiful and rewarding, so buck up and enjoy the ride!

When I first heard the statement “you can’t fail unless you quit” at Apriori Beauty’s Making Life Beautiful conference back in 2012, something in me just clicked. I love this statement because it keeps me moving and pushing through with my business. Being part of a fun company and watching it grow from the ground up has been an incredible joy for me. I love the fact that I’m not only experiencing personal and professional growth, but that I’m also helping in changing peoples’ lives. Whether it’s improving their skin or growing their business, there’s a bigger picture … it’s not just about me.

When it comes to Apriori Beauty, I keep it simple. First and foremost, I love and use the products, which in turn makes it easy to share them. I’m constantly sharing Apriori Beauty everywhere I go and only hand out samples if the prospect I’m sharing with is willing to give me their name, email, and phone number so I can follow-up with them. When I give them a sample, I always include my business card and say, “I would love to share this incredible sample with you, but I will need your contact info so I can follow-up with you and see how much you love them.” In addition, I inform them that they’ll be added to my e-newsletter list so they can get the inside scoop on monthly specials.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed. To avoid this, I break my goals into daily activities. I’m usually up before the sun rises, so I take full advantage of this time to structure and set my plans for the day. I begin by checking my Sample list to see if I need to follow-up with any prospects. I know I can’t call someone at 4:30 am, but I can send them an email, planting another Apriori Beauty seed and inquiring about their results with the samples I gave them. Then, before I leave the house for my Corporate J-O-B, I make sure I’m armed with samples and business cards in case the opportunity to share arises during the day. A lot of times, I utilize my lunch breaks by making follow-up calls or sneaking in training, such as reading a Sharon Michaels’ book or listening to a webinar of hers. The beauty of working a full-time job and having a FUN Apriori Beauty business is that I can fit both into my busy life. It might only be a five minute conversation with someone, but every little bit counts when it comes to growing my business.

Whether you are at the beginning stages of your business or are a seasoned owner, know that being an Apriori Beauty Consultant is an incredible gift because you’re not only earning extra income, you’re working toward your dreams. The one thing I didn’t expect when I first started was that I’d constantly be learning about who I am and what I’m capable of. You’ll surprise yourself about what you can accomplish when you refuse to quit. Apriori Beauty is not a get-rich-quick business; it’s a people business, and for me, it’s about building relationships and having fun! I don’t sell, but rather, I share because it’s about giving people the opportunity to know and love the products. I’m not in a race, nor am I competing against anyone. Instead, I am working my business slow, steady and consistently to fulfill my own business and personal dreams!

“A cookie-cutter approach to this business wouldn’t be rewarding.”

I love having a business that can be customized to anyone’s needs and lifestyle.  I was raised in rural Nebraska and appreciate the value of community I learned from being a small town girl.  When I joined Apriori Beauty as an Independent Consultant, I had just moved to Arizona and knew only one person in the state.  I learned I couldn’t build the business I wanted by picking up the phone and blindly making cold calls – I tried that.  Instead, I found several local organizations and became involved in my new community by attending meetings, volunteering, and even hosting events.  What happened first was friends were made, not just business leads.  Apriori Beauty may have been the motivation for joining several groups, but I am happy to say that quickly changed.  Friends supported my business early on with Client and business referrals and I did the same for their business.  My Apriori Beauty team was soon quickly growing.

The more experienced I became at networking, the more I saw that people were attending networking events in hopes of gaining new business right then and there; however, that’s rarely the case.  Rather than going in with the intention of conducting business at the event, the goal should be to meet two or three new people and spend your time getting to know them.  Make it a point to establish a reason to follow-up, and make sure you have their contact information so you can begin the relationship.  Any future business will probably come from a referral – someone they know who might love our products or business opportunity. I encourage everyone to get off the computer, go outside and into the real world, and act on the chances presented to meet new people.  This business will challenge, push and stretch you.  Embrace that and you will see your Apriori Beauty business develop.

It is important to remember there is a balance to what we do: helping people address their skin concerns while discussing the business opportunity when there is interest.  Apriori Beauty has raised the bar in the network marketing industry.  This is not a Company based on high-pressure pitches where only a few individuals have a true opportunity to create personal success.  Apriori Beauty’s Owners Susan Twellman and Elizabeth Vervynck have created a unique and healthy product line, and have paired it with a business model and compensation plan that supports everyone.  My team focuses on training to the $300-$500 a month additional income.  It’s realistic and an achievable amount to earn within just the first two levels of the Compensation Plan. If someone is interested in building a larger business, it can be attained from just increasing the same activity it takes to reach the $300-$500 goal.

I’m having a blast!  The products are warmly received and the results make Clients very happy!  I love working with my team and seeing their confidence grow as they build their business.  I am so fortunate to count the founders of Apriori Beauty as personal friends whose strong commitment and passion for helping so many individuals is something I greatly respect and admire.

I’ve been in Direct Sales since 2001. I quickly found that Network Marketing was where I wanted to be.  It allowed for a flexible schedule, plus I could earn money while building new relationships.  I have a very strong belief in multi-level marketing and was drawn to Apriori Beauty because of the Opportunity, and more importantly, the integrity of its Co-Founders and Owners, Susan Twellman and Elizabeth Vervynck.  Before there were any products to sell, I was on-board, not just as a Consultant, but a Founder as well.  I reached out to family and friends who all had experience with Direct Sales, and was quickly joined by many of them as Apriori Beauty Founders and Consultants.

Since signing up in 2009, I’ve built a solid team and expanded my Clientele base.  I believe business building and retailing intersect, both requiring perseverance and a positive attitude.  I love watching my team gain confidence as they begin to grow and promote.  The same with my Clients – when they feel good about themselves, I feel good.  This is definitely a relationship-based business.  Before I approach a prospective Client, I get to know them and build a relationship with them.  For example, throughout the day I’m constantly meeting new people, whether it’s at my kids’ sporting events, or through friends.  I am likely to see those people again so I take advantage of the situation and make it a point to get to know them.  Once I feel comfortable and have an established relationship with them, I ask if they want to try a great product I’m using.  If the answer is “yes,” I hand them a sample and then I’ll either call them (if it’s not certain I’ll see them again in a week) or follow-up in person while we’re watching our kids’ sporting event.  It’s easy to share when you love the products and company, because you’re enthusiastic and people can tell how excited you are about what you’re sharing.  With enthusiasm and a positive attitude, comes perseverance.  It’s up to you to call your prospect.  You can’t just give someone a sample and expect they’ll call you asking to place an order.  You may hear “no” more than you hear “yes,” but don’t take it personally.  It’s not about you or how you’re sharing the products.  Maybe that person is already using skincare they love and it’s working well for them.  Move on and think of who else you can share the products with.

As a Silver Director, I take leadership very seriously, and constantly make it known to my team that I am here to support them.  To those on my team that want my support and accountability, it’s a team effort.  As I’m asking them what they’ve done this week for their business, they’re asking me the same questions.  Apriori Beauty provides support for our Consultants in various ways: Consultant Trainings, Beauty Bars, and countless tools in the Consultant Back Office.  Because of Apriori Beauty, it’s easy for me to be there for my team.

The bottom line is, there is no secret to success.  With Apriori Beauty, you’re rewarded for your efforts. If you don’t put in the time and commitment, you won’t get rewarded – simple as that.  Believe in what you’re doing, be passionate about the products and Opportunity, and stay committed to your goals.  This business is something you will constantly have to work at, but if you love what you’re doing, it’s worth the time and effort.  It’s not a get-rich-quick scheme, it’s your business and if you want to continue to reap the benefits, you will have to commit to being here for the long haul.  I say this often, but Apriori Beauty is such a young Company that there’s even more Opportunity for all of us in the future.  I look and see the future as bright and positive.  If you continue to believe in yourself and commit to your passion, you’re going to be very successful.

“No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care”

I am so honored and humbled to be featured as Apriori Beauty’s Power Builder. To paraphrase Zig Ziglar, “there is a giant in all of us. The giant may be asleep, but it can be awakened when doing what someone loves.” Maybe this business isn’t for everyone, but it is for someone!

30 years ago, after college graduation, marriage, some graduate work, teaching and three small children, I discovered direct sales. I joined a skin care party plan company. It was and still is the ideal business for me. Apriori Beauty has all that I look for in this industry: a solid opportunity of right now money and an opportunity to build a career and earn unlimited residual income. This business and Apriori Beauty meet all the needs of being challenged, of serving others, of reaping the long term benefits, and enjoying the advantages of superior products. My philosophy is to do my best, create awareness for others who choose this company, and help them realize the giant that could be sleeping inside of them.

Thus, leading me to the question, what is a Power Builder? Someone who joins a network marketing company and immediately earns 100,000’s a year? Could be. Why not? Or, maybe someone who enjoys and reaps the benefits of long term residual income by consistent work and determination, all while devoting a certain amount of time each week consistently instead of 40 hours-a-week for 40 years?  At Apriori Beauty, a Power Builder has limitless opportunity through sales, sponsoring, and creating awareness of the many benefits of our Manager/Director opportunities.

I truly believe that personal retail sales open the door to building a power team.  In other words, lead by example. Sharing the product is the absolute easiest way to introduce the opportunity.  And the downside of sharing and selling — NONE!

And have you heard the expression “It is not who you know, it is who they know?”

How do we build and where do we start?  A 3-letter word is a huge step … A.S.K

I am sincerely interested to know about others, build trust and a relationship.

When my children were in grade school, middle school and high school, I was very involved in the school activities be it booster club, library mom, or field trip volunteer, etc.  My network was endless, and I held 2-3 personal appointments and parties each week. Now, I meet and share Apriori Beauty with a fabulous networking group that meets each week and I joined a local Chamber of Commerce.  In my networking group, we give weekly testimonies about the other members we have done business with.  Almost every week, someone recognizes Apriori Beauty and the wonderful difference in their skin.  They see me each week so once we have a one-on-one appointment, they are sure to try the samples because I ask them to let me know at the next meeting what they thought.

I do business with people who do business with me.  For example, I have an excellent hair stylist who has led me to wonderful people.  And I have referred many to him.  He has my products on his shelf and has his own Apriori Beauty account.  For one-on-one appointments, I meet at my office away from home whenever possible, such as Starbucks.  This way, I’m able to take the time to learn about my new contacts, find out about their business, how I can refer them to others, and to share what I do.  After the introductory meeting, I make a product appointment with them and I ask them to invite a friend or two to join us.  The appointment could be at their home, mine, an office, or my favorite place, Starbucks.

Even though many people become successful in our industry through various reach out methods, I have found that the most lucrative way of selling, sponsoring, and building teams is through group presentations.  We are not expected to hold parties, but believe me, they are well worth the effort.  The easiest way to book a party is to meet with someone, share our product, and ask them who they think would be interested or be impressed as she is in trying the product.  Once your party bookings start, each one can lead you to future parties.

In closing, I suggest that with this business or any other for that matter, one must be a very interesting person.  Seriously?  What if you are shy, reserved and not a bubbly talker? Great, Fantastic!  Because to be interesting, very interesting, one needs to be interested.  The best time you might have ever had is when you are asked questions.  Turn it around.  Be the interesting one by being interested.
