“I found Apriori Beauty a little over three years ago when my old college friend asked me to try a line of skincare that she had just started sharing. I happened to be running low on the skincare I was using, and I trusted Beverly, so I decided to give the Celloxylin line a try. I had nothing to lose. I didn’t wait for a sample; I went online and ordered the 5-step/6 product set. I was using Kiehl’s, so I always took care of my skin. After three days and nights of using Apriori, I was amazed at how fabulous my skin looked and felt. I decided I had to share this with my friends and family! I had very little knowledge of network marketing, but I registered to become a Consultant without even letting Beverly know! I just knew my friends would love glowing skin at our age!
“When I first started, I sent an email to people I felt comfortable with, explaining ‘my story.’ I didn’t send it to everyone – not even some of my closest friends – just those that I thought might like great skin. I also sent one to a group of college friends that Beverly and I had just reconnected with, some 38 years later! We were all the same age and could relate! The ‘my story’ email included a photo of my, at the time, 59 year-old skin! And I sent samples. Everyone has their own way of sharing samples, or not, but for me, they work. Remember, I used to use Kiehl’s, whose philosophy is to give lots of samples! I am not stingy with them at all, and feel the investment (they are not expensive) is so worth it.
“As time went on, ‘my story’ changed, but the core of the letter remained consistent: anti-aging, all-natural skincare. And my comfort level grew as well. I went out of my comfort zone and started sending emails to more people; some that I had known for years, and others I had just met. And I continue to do this with new people I meet! Caution: Don’t force it – let the conversation take a natural course. It’s up to you to lead it in that direction!
“Wherever I went, my gorgeous silver bag, filled with the strips and the micro scrub (and later the Pure Detox Masque), went with me. And when the conversation allowed, I would talk about the beauty of Apriori. I made a lot of mistakes along the way, too. Like not getting email addresses, and after all this time, I’m just getting into the habit of registering people! But I talked about how much my skin changed, how it is now dewy (which they of course can see), and what it can do for their skin. And I give them samples!
“I try not to miss a ‘ladies night out’ here in our small town. It’s the perfect opportunity to share! I make little sample bags and place one at each place setting (if the hostess allows – they of course get a gift from me) and just casually talk one-on-one about the benefits
“My favorite thing to do is a one-on-one or small group Beauty Bar. I share the ‘Why’ Apriori Beauty products and let them experience them first-hand. After going through the steps, I have them try the 20EX Acid Peel on one side of their face, the Pure Detox on the other! And of course the DFI! Trying the products while explaining the benefits is very successful for me.
“My emails led to writing e-newsletters several times a month. I start with the monthly specials and Friday’s Favorite. Around mid-month, I’ll pick a subject that relates to skincare. Why Vaseline is bad for your skin, or toxins and your health. I do a lot of research, include photos and provide information that I think is beneficial. All of my newsletters include my signature and buttons that take the reader directly to my website. I also offer a free full-size micro scrub to first-time clients with orders of $145 or more, and an additional $25 gift card if over $200. I offer a $25 gift card to all clients with purchases of $200 or more. And a $25 gift card for client referrals of $100 or more on the new order.
“One of the best things I’ve done is to partake in a network marketing series with Sharon Michaels. From her course, I started a business Facebook page, and stuck to it. My business page, BeautyWorks, focuses on skin and health issues. Most of my posts relate back to an Apriori product, but not all. But my posts were too long for Facebook, so Sharon suggested a blog! Mybeautyworks.net allows me to write stories about skincare, the industry, ingredients – good and bad, and why network marketing. These articles are then shared on my Facebook business page. I then share them on my personal page. I also use the same articles in the e-newsletters.
“Look, the most important thing I have found is that with passion, comes success. I am totally committed to these products and I use them faithfully. You can’t share what you don’t use yourself. I Use, I Love and I Share – and I get rewarded every week! I’m rewarded with my earnings and with gorgeous jewelry and accessories, including a Louis Vuitton Neverfull handbag! I’ve also been rewarded with amazing new friends who honestly care about my success.
“One thing I suggest, is to find a group of consultants (they don’t have to be part of your up or downline) and support each other. When I started, there was a group of about 7 of us, some I’d never met, who helped each other through support, ideas, and lots of laughter. The company Facebook groups are also great places to find ideas and share product information. Apriori Beauty’ s company page offers fabulous posts that you can share on your page. And The Road to Success is filled with new ideas and motivation.
“I love this company. The owners are true to their mission and are here for you every step of the way. Believe me, I had my melt-downs, but had a support team of Consultants and the company, including the customer service team, who walked me through the challenges and helped me with my success! And if any of you reading this would like my help, I’ll be here for you too!”
