Consultant Connect Call_November 2012
Just back from MLB 2012, this month’s Consultant Connect Call features several of our Consultant Award Winners celebrated in Las Vegas. Listen in as they share a few thoughts about our incredible Making Life Beautiful event in Las Vegas, as well as their thoughts on what helped them achieve the award (or awards) from their efforts throughout 2012!

L-R: Elizabeth Vervynck and Susan Twellman
Before we introduce our first guest, we’d like to share an announcement that was made in Las Vegas …
To end the year with excitement as well as our thank you and holiday gift to all of our Consultants, we’ve decided to offer a “Jump Start to Manager” promotion …
Normally a Consultant needs to achieve 4,000 Personal Group Bonus Volume + the other qualifiers in a month to achieve Manager … in either November or December, we are reducing the PGBV qualification to 2,500!! All of the other qualifiers remain the same, but the PGBV is being reduced to help as many Consultants as possible that want to promote to Manager by the end of 2012 do just that!
Now’s the time to set your sights on Manager and to help your team set their sights too.
On a similar note … we want to thank Gold Director Susan Shaheen … it was her idea to offer the Jump Start and we thought it was a great idea. What better way to end the year with excitement and begin the new year with Momentum than with new Managers and Directors too!!
We’d also like to share well wishes for Susan … if you have not heard yet, she unfortunately suffered a heart attack the day before MLB, in Las Vegas. She had surgery last Friday and will be recovering in Las Vegas for a few more weeks. It was strange leaving her behind in Vegas, but she is doing great! A Blog is being created to share updates and for Consultants to post well-wishes, so watch for the link to that soon …
Susan Shaheen was our #1 Excellence Award winner at MLB, so we’ll have to have her on another Connect Call to share her insight on how she was able to achieve that amazing accomplishment
Linnea Wilson | Our first guest is Linnea Wilson, a Manager from Chico, CA. Linnea kicked butt this year … she not only was our #1 Right Now Retailer, but she was also our #2 Excellence Award winner …
“MLB was absolutely incredible, not just because I won the awards, but this was the first time I was able to attend. Just to meet the dynamic, beautiful woman who bring so much to this company was just amazing. I’ve seen them on the website, but to meet them in person was so exciting, so much fun. The conference was over the top. The one thing I enjoy about network marketing is that it’s not just about business growth, but it’s also about personal growth. The speakers not only helped with my business, but they also brought in speakers like JuliAnn Stitick that talked about personal style. I loved it. I had a wonderful time. I look forward to next year!
“So, what did I do in 2012 to earn these awards? One word sums it up … Consistency. I consistently run my business. I use the Rule of 5 … I do 5 things every day consistently to move my business toward my goal of building my business. That has helped my business grow and helped me earn some great rewards!”
Candace Dye | #3 Excellence Award, Manager & Founder from Irvine, CA
“MLB was so fabulous. The rooms had gorgeous chandeliers … our tables were gorgeous … we ate M&M’s all day long. The Thanksgiving dinner was to die for … the award dinner and the chocolate decadent desert … I died and went to heaven. The food was great and every single speaker was so incredible. No one fell asleep, no mind wandering. We were on the edge of our seats. When Sharon Michaels spoke, you could hear bits of what she shared throughout everyone else’s presentations. JuliAnn, I’ve been wearing my column with my jacket every day!”
“Linnea’s word was Consistency … my word for 2012 was Relationships! Focus on your Clients, get to know all about them … how you can help them. In 2012, I can say I achieved this award because of my relationship with my Clients. My Clients have shared with their friends. I made money this week while I was at work. People love our products and because they know you and they trust you, they will work with you.
“I have a new position in customer excellence and learned that ‘there are no quick fixes or simple recipes for success. Those who are good sometimes let good get in the way of great. There must be commitment, and relentless pursuit of your goals.’ Here’s another quote I loved, ‘great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.’ In 2012, I did a lot of small things, I kept my nose to the ground, I kept focused, I kept loving on my Clients, I worked with my Consultants, I supported them. I started a group for my team on Facebook. I did calls with my team. I’ve never ever missed my Manager’s bonus. I work on myself, I’m the leader. I make sure I do what I expect everyone else to do. I make sure to set the example.”
Karen Fishman | #2 Great Start Consultant, Executive Director from Palmetto Bay, FL
“MLB was absolutely unforgettable. The speakers were incredibly motivating and real. I took so many notes that my hand still hurts. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. It was absolutely fantastic. On a more personal note, it was the connections that I made with the people. I didn’t really know anyone, just through Facebook, and I know that these friendships are not superficial. It’s like being a part of a loving, supportive, and compassionate family. I am anxiously awaiting the next convention, I can’t wait!
“Earning the Great Start Consultant award feels amazing … I love my necklace, I don’t take it off … I wear it on the tennis court. To get to where I am, I want to share 3 things that I believe in. 1. Just be yourself. Don’t try too hard selling the products. Your face really does the selling. When you are real, the products will sell. When you are positive, people gravitate toward that positivity. And when you show passion and enthusiasm, people will want what you have, that’s the way women are. 2. It’s also important to stay connected. I am always connected on Facebook, on the Team United page, I go on daily. Post comments, ask questions, share your successes. 3. It’s important to have at least one person you can talk with. Set up weekly chat sessions. I’m available to anyone who wants to speak. If you are feeling discouraged, don’t be afraid to talk about it, because everyone has felt that way at one time. Stay positive, keep focused and stay connected. There are always highs and lows, but Apriori is always there for you. We are one big happy family. I am so happy to be involved in this company, I have tears in my eyes. I can’t stop talking about it!”
Paula Yudelevit | #3 Right Now Retailer AND #4 Great Start Consultant, Manager from McHenry, MD
“MLB was so incredible. I’m going to repeat what everyone else has said. The thing that I enjoyed the most was meeting the women and men that I Facebook with, and email back and forth with. I enjoyed Carolyn Glade’s and Tess Denton’s presentation on vision boards, because that is so me … about seeing visually where your goals are. I was overwhelmed by the beautiful jewelry, and so inspired by the women I met. That’s what I got the most out of … all of my new friends! I can repeat everything Karen said, because it is so true.
“Where my success comes in is mostly in my enthusiasm and my embracing of the products. I get very excited, but I’m very honest and real. People trust me. I think that is important. People see how Apriori makes my face look ‘dewy.’ I’m confident about what I am sharing with people. That is something I had to build up myself. I’m very confident, I get very excited and I’m really enthusiastic about sharing it, and that’s why I’m now getting referrals. I hope I can continue what I am doing because I love the products, I love the people, I love the partners … I’m in love!”
Terri Lindow | #4 Excellence Award, Silver Director from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA
“I miss everyone so much from MLB. To finally connect with people from Facebook was amazing. MLB was so spectacular, so well done, so professionally executed, so much fun. Everyone saw the lighter side of the women that rescued this company. My beautiful diamond, heart necklace is classy, unbelievably modern, gorgeous looking, delicate and is exactly how I draw hearts! To hear my name called was quite a surprise. I want to compliment the speakers. It was so nice to hear from those with real experience … people that we can connect to. I wrote so many notes down that I literally have a dent in my finger.
“I find that when we support this business, we are supporting each other, we keep in touch. I believe in building a strong picture about the products and the company. I am very visual. I paint the picture. At MLB, I spoke about interviewing prospects … one of the biggest things I wanted to share is about being open … you need to be ready, you need to know your facts. Learn the business plan, learn the simple things that are on the website. I use the placemat (in the Back Office) … it covers the whole business … the products and the opportunity. Our website is beautiful … our business plan is beautiful and it is a very exciting company to represent. We are very proud to be part of this beautiful company. I wish we could do MLB twice a year!”
