“Start a Conversation with a Compliment”
We’re already halfway through May and as summer approaches, it’s easy to put your Apriori Beauty business on the back burner. Summer is full of graduations, family vacations and beach days, which we love and should have the opportunity to enjoy! Here are a few things to keep in mind that will help your business thrive during the summer months.
The number one thing you need in order to keep your Apriori Beauty business alive and growing is communication. Whether it’s calling into our weekly “Walk the Talk” or monthly “Connect Call,” or even joining an Apriori Beauty Facebook Group, it’s important to connect and be engaged with your fellow Apriori Beauty Consultants. It’s beneficial to speak and learn from one another. You just may have the answer to someone’s question and vice versa. Take it a step further and communicate with friends, family, acquaintances, and especially strangers! Be sure to talk about yourself (family, hobbies, etc) and give others the opportunity to meet and get to know the real you, not just the business you. You’re the whole package and I want others to discover all of you!
2. Go Outside and Meet People
There are a lot of people I’ve formed close relationships through and because of Apriori Beauty. Even though this is a business, I value these relationships and cherish them greatly. If you’re an introvert this can be difficult, but I assure you it’s vital to growing your business and also beneficial to your personal life. Make it a point to put energy towards building new relationships. Think of some ways in which you can encourage yourself to step outside your comfort zone and meet someone new. It could be calling someone you haven’t talked to in a while just to catch up or complimenting a lady at Starbucks on her hot shoes – you’re having a conversation with the potential opportunity mention Apriori Beauty. Regardless if that conversation turns into business or not, you’ll leave feeling fulfilled because you made a connection. Practice on starting conversations with people (both strangers and acquaintances), and get in the habit of meeting new people while you’re out running errands or at the softball game watching your kid play. As you begin to make this practice a habit, you’ll naturally become more comfortable talking with new people. The more people you meet, the bigger your network becomes and the more opportunities you’ll create to segue Apriori Beauty into your conversations.
3. Host a Beauty Bar
Beauty Bars are great ways to meet new people, communicate, and generate business. Plus, there’s so many ways to host one. You could invite a few girlfriends over to experience the products or you could host a larger group at a local venue, such as a wine bar, club house, or restaurant. When you’re introducing the products to your guests, be passionate about it. Talk about why you use and love the products and give personal testimonials. Your guests don’t want to hear a textbook explanation of the products, they want to hear why you use them! I recently spoke with Apriori Beauty Manager Lisa Adam about Beauty Bars. 4. Spoil Your Clients and Consultants with Attention
In order to grow your business, you have to maintain it and that requires following up with your current Clients and Consultants. Ask your Clients how they’re doing and how the products are working for them. If they’re having an issue, find out so you can address it. Don’t just limit to your conversation to Apriori Beauty. Ask them how their family is, how their job at work is going, and truly listen when they talk to you. Apriori Beauty will naturally come up at some point in the conversation, so don’t put all your focus into what you’re going to say next. If you run into a Client, always make sure you compliment them, whether it be their skin, outfit, hair, etc. The more you make an effort and communicate with your Clients, the more likely they’ll reciprocate and you never know, this could be a lasting friendship you’ve gained through Apriori Beauty. The same goes with your downline. As your Consultants’ Sponsor, it’s important your team feels connected and comfortable asking you questions. It’s up to you to take the initiative to communicate and support your team continuously. This includes weekly or monthly team calls, emails and texts checking in with each of your Consultants, and a firm understanding of where each of your Consultants are with their business. If you take the time and effort to stay engaged, your team will see that and likely follow in your lead. In other words, be the example you want your team to become.
I love summer and am looking forward to my kids being out of school and taking them to the beach and river. It’s one of the many benefits of working for Apriori Beauty – I make my own schedule. With that being said, I assure you my business will remain a top priority and will not get pushed aside during my summer getaways. I want all of you to have fun and pamper yourself this summer but don’t forget about your business. As I ask you to be the model for your team, I promise to be the example and lead you to success.
