I believe Success is NOT a secret, it’s a System! Doing the “right” thing over and over again. Figure out what WORKS for you, and duplicate it every month.
“Though this is not my first attempt at network marketing, this is the first time I’ve viewed a company as a TRUE business, not a hobby! I learned a few key things from my past efforts, but I would have to say my current success is because of my core values. I worked in the beauty industry for 13 years and then went on to own a professional organizing/residential cleaning company. I have been building a clientele ALL my life! I LOVE MY CLIENTS! I don’t have the most Clients of anyone in Apriori Beauty, but I just might have the happiest! They are loyal, consistent and re-purchase. To me, it is much easier to take care of each and every Client with everything I’ve got, then to try and replace them month after month.
“I treat each Client like family. I am here for them and I check on them at least once a month. I set up consistent communication, via email or the phone, their choice every month. I always keep my word and call or e-mail as promised, to share the monthly specials or to answer any questions they may have. I view this monthly communication as good customer service and being a true professional! I have an index card for each and every Client, with all of their information (birthday, Apriori Beauty anniversary date, what products they are using, etc), plus little notations I jot down during our monthly communication. I make it my business to really get to know my Clients and to listen as much as possible. It is my personal goal to eventually get every single Client using ALL that Apriori Beauty has to offer! This takes time and building trust with them! If you don’t give it time, you will come off like a bad used car salesman and they will grab their money and run for the hills! Building trust is key and you can’t ask for referrals until they TRUST you, plain and simple.
“I am not new to Apriori Beauty, I joined in February of 2011. I registered as a Consultant and began using, loving and sharing a bit. I really wasn’t ready to go full force with a new business venture, but I knew I wanted to be a part of what Apriori Beauty had created.
“At the time, I had some serious health issues to take care of and other personal things that needed my attention. I did not want to sponsor anyone into my business until I was ready to be a responsible and consistent mentor, friend, example. So, I began sharing the products with a few people along the way and stayed plugged in with the weekly calls and training modules in the back office. I kept my belief alive and knew the day would come when I would be ready to build a well balanced business! That day arrived on January 1st, 2012. Happy New Years to me!
“Though I still am and was dealing with health issues, I am better than ever! I treat my health like my business, with love, compassion and consistency. I take it day by day, always focusing on what is in front me, whether it is a tough day with my health or not, whether I get rejections or not in my business — giving the best I can with what I have to give daily. I accept no excuses from myself and understand some days will be better than others. One thing for sure, when you look on the bright side of things as much as possible, you get out of the habit of throwing ‘pity parties’ for yourself and move on. I no longer say I have ‘good’ or ‘bad’ days with my health or business. I now say, I have ‘better’ and ‘best’ days!
“Recently, I started a new system. I take business cards, $5 facial treatment postcards, Turn Back Time Capsules and a notebook everywhere I go! The $5 facial treatment postcards really work, they are great ice breakers for what I do! If a person isn’t willing to invest $5 for a full facial treatment, plus samples, they probably don’t value what I have! But it is key to listen carefully, they may not be in the market for a good skin care line, but they may be interested in getting 6 servings of fruits and vegetables with our Lifeoxylin elixir! Or, they might be interested in amping up their current skin care with an in-home beauty device!
“LISTEN. IT’S what will set YOU apart from others. The Sunday newspaper is one of my most recent investments for my business! I scan the pages looking for events such as art festivals, happy hours, wine tastings, business open houses, side walk sales, etc. I go where the people are! One-on-one’s are really what I like, so I have not done a lot of events yet. When I meet a new face, I always give a genuine compliment first, see how they respond and go from there. If they respond in a friendly way and seem open/warm, I whip out my $5 facial treatment card and invite them to ‘try something NEW!’ If they are not open to trying my product, I hand them a business card and invite them to visit my website if they ever change their mind. THE END. If a person does purchase my $5 facial treatment, I start them off with the Turn Back Time Capsule and then follow up in 2 days. IF they are local, I try and set up an appointment to meet personally with them to do the 20EX Acid Peel, Enzyme Activted Micro Scrub and DFI treatment. If they are not local, I always send the scrub with the time capsule and invite them to view the peel and DFI demonstration on my website before my follow-up.
“One thing I have definitely learned over time, CHARGE $5 for your sample. Put that money back into your business and purchase more samples/product! It adds value to our product and doesn’t ‘sting’ as bad, when a person doesn’t purchase right away or at all. Also, it makes it more attractive to those who join and don’t have a lot of money to start out. I worked for a major cosmetic company in my past life and not one time did we allow our salespeople to give out 2-3 days worth of an ENTIRE system to potential customers for FREE! This is a business and we have to make good business decisions that anyone can duplicate, no matter what their financial situation is.
“In a nutshell, stay the course, don’t give up! Do a little something every day for your business! Don’t start and stop! Keep going! Whatever your personal goal is with your business, if you are making money every week by retailing and taking care of your Clients, it all adds up! Your clients ARE your business! Without them, we are OUT OF BUSINESS! There are a million other companies and Consultants who will be happy to serve your Clients! We have the best products, the best company, the best compensation plan! We must give our best and from those efforts, Clients will stay loyal and future Consultants will rise to the top! You just never know when a current Client will be attracted to this opportunity! People want to be a part of something and others who make them feel GOOD! Treat everyone well! Use our beautiful Apriori Beauty products every day! Be a product of your product! Be patient! Be loyal! Be consistent! Be the example! And, all will fall into place.”
