“Wow, it’s such an honor to be able to share some ideas with you and the Apriori Team! I have to start by saying, I wasn’t looking for this, it found me via Susan and Stacey! And what an amazing new journey it has been! I have been in the professional salon industry for 29 years, and for 19 of those years, I have ‘used and shared’ only one hair care line. I’m a tough sell, and once I find something I love, I’m very loyal. A product has to do what it says it will do, and I will only partner with a company who stands behind their products and truly cares about people. Which brings me to Apriori Beauty!
“After only trying the products on my face one time, I was sold! My skin looked and felt different that very first day! So I ordered the ‘All-In-One,’ signed up to become a Consultant, and my journey began! I knew I loved the products, so I couldn’t help but ‘share’ them! Everything I have done has been kind of by accident. I didn’t really have a strategic plan. (I know that’s not what you want to hear! Haha!)
“I posted on my Facebook Wall, ‘Just tried some amazing skin care products and I LOVE them! Can’t wait to tell you more about them!’ Then a couple of days later, I posted again, something like, ‘These skin care products are the BEST I have EVER used! Details coming soon!’ The reason I did this, was that I didn’t feel like I knew enough about them to ‘share’ them yet. I didn’t even have my first order yet, but by the end of the week, people were posting and messaging me … ‘Enough already! Tell us what it is and how can we get some too!’ So, in hindsight, I guess I created excitement and suspense, which ultimately generated sales to people who hadn’t even tried the products!
“Then I text a few friends to come in and try them, telling them I wanted their feedback. I told them I wanted them to be 100% honest with me. I brought in a friend who is a doctor; one who is a nurse in a dermatology office; one who has trouble with adult acne; a couple who I knew would tell me their honest thoughts; and one who sold another skin care line, etc. And 100% of them LOVED the products.
“I then started sharing the products with my Clients, while they were sitting in my chair. I would just say, ‘I’ve started using a new skin care line that I am in love with! It has changed my skin!’ And they would say, ‘What is it?’ and I would say ‘Would you like to try it while you are here?’ I would just talk them through the steps, answer questions as best I could (or run next door and ask Susan and Stacey for help), and the orders started coming in!
“I never just give away the Turn Back Time Capsule without them first trying the products. Once they have tried them and love them, THEN I give them the capsule to try at home. I also add a Micro Scrub sample in it as well and give them a brochure. I tell them the samples should last until their order comes in, if they order right away! I had my Apriori Beauty information printed on the back of my appointment cards, so when they book their next hair appointment, they get their card, and right there is all of the information they need to order their skin care!
“My follow up is very simple. I text them the next day and say ‘How does your skin feel?’ Again, 100% of them have said ‘Great!’
“I had a great start and a lot of initial orders. What is fun to see is that they are already re-ordering, which tells me they are loving the results! The products really do all the work! All you have to do is get them on people’s faces! And never assume anything … One of my new Consultants is a young gal with perfect skin! Two ladies that were in the salon yesterday tried the products 5-6 weeks ago at their last appointment, haven’t ordered yet, but both said they can’t stop thinking about them, want to order and are considering becoming Consultants! As I was talking to another gal yesterday, about the business potential, she said she would like to just earn enough to pay her kid’s tuition. I told her it’s a done deal! I will help her make that happen!
